Web Scraping & Data Engineer

• Built and operated three production financial-data scrapers — Nordic MFN, MarketScreener and Canadian SEDAR+ — on a single EC2 host under PM2, in TypeScript against MongoDB and S3.
• Defeated three commercial anti-bot stacks — Radware Bot Manager, DataDome and Akamai — by matching client architecture to each defense: plain HTTP for one target, real headful Chrome for another, remote CDP browser sessions for the third.
• Traced silent data loss to SEDAR+ binding document URLs to both session and exit IP: a rotating-proxy zone was saving 0 of 30 filings, and a persistent Browser API session restored full capture.
• Ended a class of retry-budget failures by separating fatal from per-item errors, after one dead browser session failed 363 companies in a second and burned 299 backfill windows — adding session-death detection and a consecutive-failure circuit breaker.
• Fixed a socket-listener leak that pushed a scraper past PM2's 1 GB ceiling into a restart loop, by routing through an explicit HTTPS proxy agent instead of axios' built-in proxy option.
